How about a day trip to British Virgin Islands? Yes Williamsburg Day Trip continues with @cizenbayan as she gets ready to take over the account tomorrow.
“Hey this is @cizenbayan maybe you remember me from last week. My name is Elif and I’m a travel-music-lifestyle blogger & a life enthusiast from Istanbul, Turkey. I studied architecture but I chose a different path in life: I travel the world, go to festivals, drink cocktails, dance my ass off at parties, teach yoga and share the experience, the inspiration & the love through my blog & instagram account.
Today I’m taking you to a daytrip around the British Virgin Islands. After spending a month there sailing with the yacht week and the soul sail, teaching yoga and blogging, i’ll share with you guys my favourites spots in the British Virgin Islands .
Soggy Dollar Bar
Located in Jost Van Dyke, White Bay; Soggy Dollar Bar is home to a very famous cocktail around the Caribbean, the painkiller. it’s made with cream of coconut, splash of orange juice, pinapple juice, rum and to finished some shaved nutmeg. But it’s not the only reason to spend an afternoon hangin’ out on the white sandy beach. You won’t believe your eyes when you see the color of the ocean and those beautiful palm trees. it’s like paradise on earth.
Cooper Island
Habitated by tortoise swimming on the surface among beautiful sailboats anchored by, Cooper Island is one of the nicest spots in the British Virgin Islands to watch the sunset, sit by the bonfire & stargaze, have some great coffee, delicious ice cream and handcrafted cocktails. Cooper Island also hosts a very fashionable gift shop with a great selection of beachwear and summer articles, make sure to check it out.
Anegada
The furthest and the flattest of all the British Virgin Islands, Anegada’s incredible turqoise sea and untouched beauty are totally worth the voyage. The famous Anegada lobsters are caught here daily and supplied to all the other islands but of course eating a fresh lobster in Anegada is the authentic Caribbean experience. Make sure to catch the sun setting over the sea, coloring the sky framed by palm trees in different shades of pink, purple, blue and yellow. You’ll feel like you’re in a live postcard. Cow wreck beach is a perfect place to witness this daily phenomenon, with a buschwacker in your hand and toes in the sand!
The Last Resort Bar
Only accessible with your dinghy or with a longtail shuttle run by the owner Brian, The Last Resort is a bar located on a small island in Trellis Bay. There’s live music every night provided by Bob’s one man orchestra, nice selection of music after, great caribbean, latin american and asian food, very chilled vibe, occasional fire shows, a very fun giant jenga that includes kissing strangers and changing an article of clothing with the bartender, a fun and vintage fußball game, huge swings, romantic lights and good vibes only! You can even rage saturday nights if there’s a dj or just chill and enjoy a fun night. if you go there say hi to brian and taste their mufanga! It’s a must!!!
The Baths
The Baths in Virgin Gorda is a 5 minute cab ride away from Spanish Town. The awe inspiring beauty of the beaches and the rock formations are second to none. You should pay a visit there during the day, climb the free forming boulders, dive the caves, snorkel the reefs and get lost in the landscape. Don’t forget to pack the cheese and wine to watch one of the most breathtaking sunsets the Caribbean has to offer.
Willy T’s
Jersey Shore” of The Caribbean, Willy T’s, the only bar that you dinghy in and stumble out of. An official pirate bar Willy T’s is located in Pirate’s Bite Bay, Norman Island. Accesible only by boat, this floating bar is known for body shots and its naked festivities 🙊🙊🙊
