I took over the hyperlocal supercool instagram account @yeswilliamsburg two weekends in a raw 💛💛💛 first week i shared my favourite spots in #williamsburg and here they are:

Hey Everyone! @cizenbayan here! My name is Elif and I’m a travel-music-lifestyle blogger & a life enthusiast from Istanbul, Turkey. I studied architecture but I chose a different path in life: I travel the world, go to festivals, drink cocktails, dance my ass off at parties, teach yoga and share the experience, the inspiration & the love through my blog & instagram account! I’ve been doing this for 4 years now but I still can’t believe that it’s actually my job!

NYC is one of my favourite cities in the world and Williamsburg is the neighbourhood I most feel home! I’ll be taking over the Yes Williamsburg’s instagram account this and next weekend to share my favourite spots in Williamsburg with you guys! I’m very excited! I have in mind to call this city my home in the near future so please share your tips with me and İf you want to support me make sure you check out my account to follow my adventures around the world . Brunch: 5 Leaves

It’s like a tradition now: whenever I’m in town I have a big brunch at the @fiveleavesny. I love the big brekkie plate with scrambled eggs, bacon & avocado on the side. The grapefruit brule is also a must-try. Being a dream of late Heath Ledger I think 5 Leaves is one of the places that truly represents the williamsburg spirit, the subculture with its late brunches, interior design and killer cocktails.

Yoga Studio: New Love City

I’m a yoga addict so I find myself a stuido to practice whereever I go when i’m traveling. This lovely boutique yoga studio in greenpoint: @newlovecity_ is my new york studio! one hour long dynamic vinyasa yoga classes run all day long by very cool & good yoga teachers. i love that this place has a skylight and white brick walls, it makes the room very bright and energizes you even before you start the flow. also different from my hometown, teachers play loud & uplifting music during the classes which motivates you even more. if you’re into yoga and love intimate small classes go give it a try!

Cafe: Budin

I’m a freelancer so my office is where my laptop and coffee are! When in Williamsburg there are few spots that I grab my laptop and work all day long. Scandinavian inspired @budinnyc is one my my favourites with its bright interior, number of power outlets, fast & limitless wifi and a nice selection of magazines, coffee, tee and pastries. I work from here in the afternoons and then they kindly ask you to put away your laptops in the evening so that more guests can enjoy their drinks after work :) Perfect ratio of work and play!

Bakery: Bakeri

If I have to chose between the two awesome @bakeribrooklyn locations in brooklyn, I’d go with 105 Freeman Street but really both shops are very lovely, cosy and offer fingerlicking delicious pastries and a relaxed environment to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. another reason i love bakeri is that all employees are women and everything served are made and baked here, fresh and with lots of love <3 not to forget that the interior is VERY instagrammable!

Restaurant (Mexican): Calexico

I’m having daytime margaritas and a huge burrito in @calexiconyc on Manhattan Avenue when I crave for Mexican food. No surprise they are rated #1 Mexican restaurant in town and have numerous awards. If you are one of those who pays attention to details like me you’ll love the interior and the vintage ‘chicklet’ gum boxes they bring with the bill!

Bar: Black Flamingo

I go to @blackflamingonyc if I want to dance and if there’s no particular dj I want to see in town that night: upstairs they have vegetarian dishes, tacos, champagne and cocktails, down at the basement, there’s the perfect size of crowd while you can dance your ass of all night long to funky disco beats, house, soul or whatever good electronic music they put on that night, under a very groovy disco ball! quite intimate and still fresh!
