Breitbeinig und mit festem Stand stehe ich auf dem Dach eines Hochhauses. Ich lasse meinen Blick schweifen und bin von der sich mir dargebotenen Szenerie beeindruckt, als würde ich dieses Bild zum ersten Mal sehen.
Unter mir brennt das Lichtermeer der Stadt, über mir thront majestätisch der Himmel in schwarz.
Nacht auf Nacht gehe ich auf Mission. Die Menschen hier brauchen mich, sie brauchen jemanden der nach dem Rechten sieht und an die Vergessenen denkt. Der den Schwachen eine helfende Hand reicht, die hungrigen speist, die Kranken heilt und bei dem Einsamen verweilt.
Ich bin der Nachtwächter dieser Stadt, meist nur ein Schatten, der Nacht für Nacht seine Runden macht.

What a week it was! It was my 3rd burn this year and it was such a good feeling to play for the amazing The Gardens of Babylon crowd at HOME!
When I started playing the sun was almost finished setting and a beautiful full moon was rising. The weather and the colors of the sky were so perfect! I hope my recorded set from that evening gives you similar feelings we all felt there!

My friends at @mikimaumusic uploaded my opening set for @kimonodisco party Monday afternoon at Burning Man 2018 to their Soundcloud.

It was a “short but sweet” daytime love affair where I experienced with different styles to create a loose funky bouncey vibe to start the week on an energetic mood. I really enjoyed the reaction from the crowd and the connection we had!

‘With camp setup and the excitement of being home newly high and climbing, we started the week off right with our annual Kimono Disco. Elif curated a masterful set for what would set the mood for the day and the rest of an epic burn.’

The Anjunadeep Edition 215 with Elif

A few weeks ago, I have been invited to record a set for Anjunadeep’s Edition series. The e-mail I received from them made me very happy in a time where I was questioning many things in my life with the circumstances i had to deal with and it kind of restored my belief in myself. Having a mix featured in their Soundcloud page amongst so many inspirations of mine is definitely one of the highlights of my career so far.

I put a lot of emotions in this mix and I really enjoyed recording it. I recorded it in Beirut and it got online right before Burning Man. After leaving the desert, seeing the number of listens already pass 30K and reading all the comments makes me very happy and gives me strength to go on and keep believing in myself and keep doing what I do.
